Favorite Bible Verse
Today is the 14th a great day on more than one level. first, It’s Michael’s birthday. She is 28 and amazing. Second, it’s the day I read Proverbs 14 witch contains one of my most favorite verses in the whole bible. I look forward to reading this chapter every month cause I know it has this verse in it and it encourages me in a big way. So here it is:
4. Without oxen a stable stays clean,
but you need a strong ox for a large harvest.
I learned a long time ago that I can’t do much on my own. But the problem lies in the fact that people are messy. Just like an ox dirties a stable, people cause messes in life. But if you get rid of the mess makers you limit your harvest. I use this analogy from the bible to remind myself that the harvest I want is bigger than me, so I need to shovel some crap in the stables and do work in the field. Loving people is never the wrong thing to do even when they poop in your stable! Just go get a shovel cause you’ll need them later.

So true. I am having to battle this now, as my nature is that of a hermit >.<
(@Your reply to tinyurl.com/6omf32 – God supplies for all needs, and I must need the patience only M$ can bring
You are so very right. I spent many years turtle-ing my way through life. Afraid of people and hating the mess. When God got a hold of me that all changed. I now have a big shovel and five great kids that remind me to ‘get out there and make a difference’ everyday. One way I am doing that is by writing. It is my passion and I have decided to go for it. It has brought on the stench, as it takes time away from other things. But I believe God has placed this desire in my heart. I have started posting some of my stuff on my blog @ akwritan.majesticwebsite.com My prayer is that God can use my writing to reach kids and teens (haven’t posted these yet) and gives me a bigger shovel if I need it! Thanks again for your message.
